Miss Teepee Creek Stampede 2019 - Megan Pettyjohn

Megan Pettyjohn is an 18-year-old cowgirl from Bezanson Alberta. Born and raised in the Peace Country, Megan has a strong appreciation for her Albertan roots. For the past four years, Megan has been a proud member of the Grande Prairie 4H Multi-Club. She currently holds the president position, where she is more than happy to be a positive role model towards her fellow members. 4H has made a great impact on her life and has helped in her areas from public speaking to horsemanship.
Megan is also a member of the Hoofbeats For Hope Equine Team, where she performs in grand entries and musical riding performances across the peace region. In addition to the hours of volunteer work that she does with her 4H club, Megan supports a variety of local charities through fundraising efforts with the Hoofbeats For Hope Equine Team. In her spare time, Megan enjoys trail rides, practicing with her musical ride team, painting, and drinking lots of tea!
Her future aspirations include graphic and web design, and she intends to work towards a bachelor’s degree in fine arts as her first step. She has been accepted to the Grande Prairie Regional College in the fall of 2020, where she will begin the first year of her degree.
As Miss Teepee Creek Stampede 2019, Megan intends to represent the bar TP brand with pride. “I’m extremely grateful for this incredible opportunity. I can only hope that I make my committee proud, and serve as a positive influence for all of the aspiring future rodeo queens. I can’t wait to make my mark on the rodeo world and spread its importance during my time as an ambassador for the Teepee Creek Stampede.”

2009 - INAUGURAL YEAR FOR TEEPEE CREEK STAMPEDE RODEO QUEEN
2009 was an exciting year for the Teepee Creek Stampede as the first Miss Teepee Creek Stampede was crowned.Miss Teepee Creek Stampede will be a representative of the Stampede, of the community, and overall, the western way of life. Along with appearing at the Teepee Creek Stampede, Miss Teepee Creek Stampede will be making appearances at events in the surrounding Peace Country throughout her year-long reign.
Miss Teepee Creek Stampede is a great opportunity for young women of the community. If you are between the ages of 14 and 17, you are invited to enter the competition, which will be held leading up to and during this year’s Stampede, July 9-12. The competition will consist of several components including but not limited to horsemanship, public speaking, modeling, and photogenics. Entrants will be given opportunities to network and develop lifelong skills.
Miss Teepee Creek Stampede is the perfect stepping stone for aspiring rodeo royalty who hope to compete for Alberta High School Rodeo Queen, Miss Grande Prairie Stompede, and Miss Rodeo Canada.
The board of the Teepee Creek Stampede Association has thrown there support behind the Queen Competition and will be awarding a $500 scholarship to the young woman crowned Miss Teepee Creek Stampede 2009.
