Lyons Production Services Events Centre
The Teepee Creek Lyons Production Services Events Centre is a community centered facility ran for the maximum benefit of our community users. We take great pride in our facility and it shows! Our community is very proud of the facility and what it offers. Teepee Creek’s strong Western Heritage and Community Spirit continue to grow and prosper year-round with this facility in our community.
Our riding arena is no small facility. We have a building of 40,000 square feet of useable space. The riding arena itself is 110’ x 270’ in size with an additional lean-to of 40’ x 270’ for tying horses.
Teepee Creek has a rich western and rural heritage and having the Teepee Creek Lyons Production Services Events Centre, we have continued to build on this, while strengthening partnerships with local groups. It has become the heart of Teepee Creek and nurtures future growth and development in our area. All ages in our community have benefited from this facility – from the youngest child learning to ride to the seasoned competitive rider looking to practice their sport to the grandparent that is proud to have another generation carrying on western traditions.
The Canadian equine industry contributes $19 billion dollars and 154,000 jobs to the Canadian economy. There are over 963,500 known horses in Canada and the highest portion (32%) of these is in the province of Alberta. In a 2006 survey there were in excess of 16,000 horses in the Alberta Peace area. The Teepee Creek area is well known for its western roots and lifestyle – there are many active riders in our area and our facility has been a true reflection of this. It has also been showcased in national publications and across social media for the incredible efforts made to ensure history has been preserved while keeping on the forefront of being innovative for current times.
