TEEPEE CREEK STAMPEDE ASSOCIATION MISSION STATEMENT:
To continue to grow and build on the rich heritage of the Teepee Creek Stampede while working to bring pride and camaraderie to the community, all while enhancing social welfare.
The Teepee Creek Stampede Association is a pillar in the community of Teepee Creek and the surrounding rural area. We are one of the most active community organizations and our association is involved in a lot more than just hosting the Teepee Creek Stampede.
The Teepee Creek Stampede Association owns 80 acres in Teepee Creek where we house our community grounds. Here we have our rodeo arena and bucking chutes, covered grandstand, horse race track, corrals and handling system, The Teepee Creek Community Hall, and The Teepee Creek Skating Arena in addition to numerous other small buildings utilized during the Stampede.
The Teepee Creek Skating Arena is a natural ice skating rink that is maintained and cared for by local volunteers. The arena was originally built in the 1970’s and is still in use today. During the real winter months (it has to be cold enough to keep ice in the arena) the arena is filled with community members who come out for public skating and friendly games of shinny hockey. On a busy night, we have had as many as 35 hockey players show up to play informal shinny hockey for fun.
The Teepee Creek Hall is the community center of Teepee Creek. That hall is owned and operated by the Teepee Creek Stampede Association and has been an integral part of the Teepee Creek community for many years. The hall was originally built in the late 1930’s / early 1940’s and is still in use today hosting weddings, funerals, baby showers, 4-H Club meetings, Stampede meetings, community dances and socials and even cowboy church once a month.
